Of Beds and Breakfasts

When you get right down to it, the most important part of a B&B experience is the “B’s”. The Beds and the Breakfasts!

Our Beds Are Really, Really, Really Comfy...

In fact they might be the most comfortable beds you’ll sleep in on your whole vacation! Why? Well, we started with really good quality mattresses and then made them even better by adding two and a half inch thick memory foam toppers so you just might think you’re sleeping on a cloud! We’ve also made sure that each room has lots of fluffy pillows, so there should always be at least one that is perfect for you!

Our Breakfasts Are Really, Really, Really Wonderful...

Every morning we grind our gourmet coffee beans so that you’ll always have an excellent cup of coffee to start your day…. And we know that for some people, a good cup of coffee can be the difference between a fabulous day or the road trip of misery!

And because we know that most have come to expect a really special breakfast from their favourite B&B, we always aim to impress! Whether we’re serving Grand Marnier french toast with lemon sauce and fresh blueberries, or savoury quiche with buttery croissants hot from the oven, we know you won’t be disappointed!

For lighter eaters, we always offer cereals, fresh fruit parfaits, toast, muffins or scones. And this summer we plan to include our very own "stole-the-recipe-from-the-lovely-proprietress-of-the-At-The-Turrett-B&B-in-Annapolis-Royal-because-it-was-just-so-darn-good", homemade granola. As we have yet to try making it on our own, this may be subject to a learning curve of sorts. We’ll keep you posted.

Guests with dietary concerns need only let us know.

To date, we have accommodated vegetarian, non-dairy, gluten-free, soy-free, low-fat, low-carb, no-carb and “ don’t worry about it, I’ve brought my own health food store” dietary concerns.

Breakfast is served family-style at our big dining room table in order to encourage conversation and general merry-making. Breakfast time is at 8:30 so that our many guests travelling to P.E.I. can join the fun and still make the 9:30 summer ferry.

And in an effort to ward against the dreaded “ Innkeeper Spread”, we will usually try to send you off with leftover muffins for later in the day snacking.

After all, you’re on vacation...we’re not!
